Des nouvelles pour Noël! // Christmas News!

Nous voici à la fin d'une année 2017 qui a été pour moi difficile et bien remplie. // Here we are at the end of a difficult and eventful year.

1- D'abord, une année d'activisme en GB contre la montée de la xénophobie et du racisme provoquée par le référendum de juin 2016, et aussi contre les attaques répétées du gouvernement britannique à l'encontre des droits des citoyens européens au R.U. // First a year of activism in the UK, fighting against the rise of xenophobia and racism brought about by last year's referendum; fighting also against the repeated attacks by the British government against the rights of EU citizens living in the UK.

Notre livre de témoignages, In Limbo, vient d'être republié dans sa deuxième édition (avec 13 nouveaux témoignages et 16 témoignages de Britanniques) par l'éditeur anglais Byline Books (disponible sur le site www.cynefinroad.com). Il a été décrit dans le journal The New European comme le meilleur livre de l'année sur le Brexit (merci Charlie Connelly!). Nous espérons que l'année prochaine sera meilleure que celle qui s'achève pour nous tous. Nous continuerons à nous battre pour l'équité, l'humanité et les droits de la personne. // Our book of testimonies, In Limbo, has just been republished in its second edition (with 13 new testimonies and 16 testimonies by Brits) by the British publisher Byline Books (available on the site of www.cynefinroad.com). It was described in the newspaper The New European as the best book of the year on Brexit (thank you Charlie Connelly!). We hope next year will be better than this one has been. We will go on fighting for fairness, humanity and human rights.

2- Malgré ce tourbillon d'activité, la trilogie "Les Maîtres de l'Orage" est restée une de mes grandes préoccupations, même si je n'ai pas eu le temps de bien m'occuper d'elle cette année. Je tiens à remercier chaleureusement tous ceux et toutes celles qui m'ont contactée si gentiment pour me soutenir et me dire combien ils/elles attendaient la sortie du tome 3, La Voix de l'Égrégore. Si vous saviez combien votre patience et votre soutien ont compté pour moi! // Despite this whirlwind of activity, the trilogy "The Masters of the Storm" remained one of my main concerns even though I did not have time to take good care of it this year. I want to thank warmly all of you who have contacted me so kindly to support me and tell me how much you were looking foward to reading Volume 3, The Voice of the Egregor. If you knew how much your patience and support have mattered to me!

En attendant de pouvoir partager avec vous de bonnes nouvelles, je l'espère, dès janvier, j'ai soldé les deux premiers tomes de la trilogie sur ma boutique Amazon pour les fêtes de fin d'année.

Perdue dans les limbes // Lost in limbo

Vous vous demandez peut-être où j'ai disparu depuis tant de temps? // You may be wondering where I have disappeared to for all this time?

Je suis toujours aussi déterminée à publier le troisième tome de ma trilogie qui est prêt depuis deux ans mais n'a hélas pas pu sortir à cause de la faillite de mon éditeur. J'ai maintenant le devis de l'infographiste et artiste qui a mis en page mon second livre. Je dois trouver un bon imprimeur qui ne me fasse pas payer la lune. C'est un très gros livre (une nécessité pour finir la série en beauté!), ce qui me pose un problème de prix et de reliure pour la version papier. Je compte aussi sortir le livre en version électronique. Si vous avez des suggestions et/ou conseils, je vous en prie, contactez-moi. :) // I am still totally determined to publish the third volume of my trilogy, which has been ready for two years but unfortunately has not been able to be released due to my publisher's going bust. I now have an estimate from the graphic designer and artist who did my second book's cover and layout. Next I have to find a good printer at a decent price. It is a very large book (an absolute must in order to give the series the apotheosis it deserves!), which causes me a problem in terms of price and binding quality for the paper version of the book. I also plan to release the story as an eBook. If you have suggestions and/or advice, please do contact me. :)

Cependant, cette année, mes priorités ont été obligées de changer à cause du référendum sur le Brexit (la sortie de la GB de l'Union Européenne), qui a eu lieu en juin 2016. Depuis, hélas, mon pays d'adoption a absorbé toute mon attention à cause de l'incertitude et de l'insécurité que le Brexit a créé pour nous tous, citoyens européens qui vivons en GB. // But this year my priorities were forced to change because of the referendum on Brexit (the exit of GB from the European Union) which took place in June 2016. Since then, my adopted country has absorbed all my attention because of the uncertainty and insecurity Brexit has created for all of us, European citizens who live in the UK.

L'année dernière, l'angoisse que je ressentais après le référendum s'est trouvée purgée et canalisée dans un livre plein de positivité et d'humour sur l'histoire de ma ville natale, Saint-Malo, racontée à une petite Parisienne de neuf ans par une vieux et prestigieux fantôme. Ce livre d'aventure et d'histoire, Charlie et le fantôme de Saint-Malo, pour les enfants et leurs parents, est en quête d'un éditeur, et je vais maintenant avoir le temps de retourner à ma traduction de l'histoire en anglais. // Last year, the anguish I felt was purged and channeled into a book full of positivity and humour on the history of my hometown, Saint-Malo, told to a small nine-year-old Parisian girl by an old and prestigious ghost. This book of adventure and history, Charlie and the ghost of Saint-Malo, for children and their parents, is in search of a publisher, and I now have time again to return to my translation of the story in English.

Cette année, malheureusement, à cause d'une attitude d'hostilité croissante adoptée envers nous par le gouvernmement anglais et par la presse anglaise de droite, l'angoisse pour nous, citoyens européens en GB (et citoyens britanniques en Europe), est devenue une réalité de plus en plus terrifiante. // This year, unfortunately, because of an increasingly hostile attitude towards us by the UK government  and the right-wing English press, the anguish for us, European citizens in the UK (and British citizens in Europe), has become a more and more terrifying reality.

C'est pourquoi, cette année, mon amie italienne Elena Remigi et moi avons recueilli près de deux cents témoignages de citoyens européens en GB (ainsi que quelques témoignages de Britanniques qui ont des familles européennes en GB et de Britanniques vivant en Europe). Une fois ces précieuses histoires vécues recueillies, nous les avons corrigées et éditées avec la collaboration d'un éditeur britannique, Tim Sykes, et les avons publiées sur Amazon avec une couverture magnifique créée par un graphiste britannique, Gareth Harrey, et une introduction par un grand poète britannique d'origine hongroise, George Szirtes. Tout ce travail a été accompli bénévolement, et ce livre puissant et émouvant, à but non lucratif, est réellement un "ouvrage d'amour". // This is why this year my Italian friend, Elena Remigi, and I have gathered nearly two hundred testimonies from European citizens living in the UK (as well as some testimonies from Britons who have European families in the UK and Britons living in Europe). Once these precious stories were collected, we corrected and edited them with British editor, Tim Sykes, and published them on Amazon with a beautiful cover by  British graphic designer, Gareth Harrey, and an introduction by acclaimed British poet of Hungarian origin, George Szirtes. All this work was done on a voluntary basis and this powerful and moving, not-for-profit, book is truly a "labour of love".

Le livre est déjà un best-seller en vente partout en Europe sur Amazon. Il est écrit en anglais. Il existe en version papier et en version électronique. // The book is already a best-seller, available on Amazon internationally. It is written in English. It exists as a book and as an eBook.

Il a déjà attiré l'attention des médias en Europe et en Grande-Bretagne ainsi que de personnalités politiques comme Michel Barnier et Guy Verhostadt en Europe et Jeremy Corbyn en GB. Nous espérons plus que tout que ce livre permettra aux voix des victimes du Brexit et à leur message d'être entendus haut et clair. #DansLesLimbes #InLimbo // It has already attracted the attention of the media in Europe and Britain as well as that of politicians such as Michel Barnier and Guy Verhostadt in Europe and Jeremy Corbyn in the UK. We hope more than anything that this book will allow the voices of the victims of Brexit and their message to be heard loud and clear. #InLimbo
