Unspeakable horror has struck my alma mater, Grenoble in France, where a hideous beheading by Islamists has pushed the monstrosities of ISIS, yet again this year, into the very core of our European psyche. The beautiful text below and this incredibly harmonious painting to remind us of the beauty and sanity humanity is also capable of. Art can be an antidote to evil.
